University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine

Responsible for using a collaborative approach to guide the college in enhancing diversity and supporting a climate of inclusion with respect to race and ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, class, culture, geography and religion. Assisted with development and implementation strategies within the college related to recruitment and retention of students and faculty, teaching, curriculum, communication, facilitation of open and timely discussions around issues and events, and career readiness. This oversight focused on all major stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, administrators, and alumni. Lead efforts to develop metrics for success and evaluate progress toward our defined goals. Reports to the college dean and collaborates frequently with other university offices working on behalf of diversity and inclusion.

University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine

Oversees the college's development and maintenance of comprehensive educational technology services for the college. Supervises Educational Technology Support Staff for the college. Identifies appropriate faculty needs related to course development and maintenance as these intersect with instructional technologies. Distributes workflow to address faculty needs. Works one-on-one and in faculty groups to offer training and assistance in course development and delivery in the online and blended learning environments. Identifies and assists with assessment of student learning based on course modifications using online and classroom technologies and stays abreast of the evolving educational market and making recommendations regarding instructional and educational technology needs for the college.

Self Narrate, Inc.

​Workshop Facilitator and Content Developer for Self Narrate, an organizational and personal development nonprofit utilizing self narrative as a tool for growth. Through this nonprofit, I have developed numerous leadership and personal development tools, evaluating each to the needs of the client’s organization. I have also led numerous keynotes and presentations on story development.

Developed an integrated online and in-class seminar-style practicum that integrated lectures and appropriate readings regarding nonprofit organizations. Content included nonprofits functions and purpose, how they are organized and operate, and the basic structure of an incorporated nonprofit.

North Carolina USDA / Natural Resources Conservation Service

Studied the characteristics of soils, geology, topography, and landforms over a large geographic region (MLRA) in order to ensure consistency of map units throughout.
Managed GIS database and developed GIS maps for MLRA office.

Investigated complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other related matters, and proposed remedial action, as prescribed by the Federal Government’s human relations and equal opportunity ordinances.
Prepared reports as to the activities of the year and the need, if any, to revise the State’s human relations and equal opportunity ordinances, policies, and programs pertaining to, but not limited to, equal opportunity, affirmative action, unlawful harassment, and accessibility to the State’s programs, services, and activities.

North Carolina A&T State University Hewlett-Packard Technology for Teaching Grant

Researched innovative methods to enhance educational learning environments using cutting edge computer technology.
Developed and shared effective educational approaches and experiences for applying mobile technology into learning environments with professors on campus and beyond.
Managed daily use of computers and equipment used to improve School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (SAES) courses in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Research and position funded through $77,000 Hewlett-Packard Higher Education Technology for Teaching Grant Initiative.

Supervised and coordinated the activities of 80+ student senators. This included determining committee procedures and schedules; issuing instructions and assigning duties; reviewing programs; taking personnel actions; conducting senatorial reviews; conducting departmental training and orientation; and recommended a operating budget for senate approval.
