EDUCATION

Diversity & Inclusion Officer (October 2015-Present)

University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine

Responsible for using a collaborative approach to guide the college in enhancing diversity and supporting a climate of inclusion with respect to race and ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, class, culture, geography and religion. Assisted with development and implementation strategies within the college related to recruitment and retention of students and faculty, teaching, curriculum, communication, facilitation of open and timely discussions around issues and events, and career readiness. This oversight focused on all major stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, administrators, and alumni. Lead efforts to develop metrics for success and evaluate progress toward our defined goals. Reports to the college dean and collaborates frequently with other university offices working on behalf of diversity and inclusion.

Learning & Organizational Development Specialist (October 2015-Present)

University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine

Oversees the college's development and maintenance of comprehensive educational technology services for the college. Supervises Educational Technology Support Staff for the college. Identifies appropriate faculty needs related to course development and maintenance as these intersect with instructional technologies. Distributes workflow to address faculty needs. Works one-on-one and in faculty groups to offer training and assistance in course development and delivery in the online and blended learning environments. Identifies and assists with assessment of student learning based on course modifications using online and classroom technologies and stays abreast of the evolving educational market and making recommendations regarding instructional and educational technology needs for the college.
